Movie Review: "Captain America: The First Avenger"

This morning I had the oppurtunity to watch one of the most anticipating movies I've been wanting to see for the longest: "Captain America: The First Avenger". The story is classic, and yet, timeless: Steve Rogers (Evans) is a skinny asthmatic weakling with the heart of a patriotic lion. Steve wants more than anything to serve his country in the war against Hitler, but the enormity of his spirit simply isn’t enough to overcome the limitations of his frail body. Steve’s big heart catches the eye of Dr. Abraham Erskine (Stanley Tucci), a scientist working to create a new breed of genetically-enhanced super-soldiers, who will turn the tide of the war in The Allies’ favor.

This has to be one of my favorite super hero movies (along side Iron Man, and Thor). The movie was pure epic and I enjoyed how they explained the story of Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) when he transforms into Captain America. It was entertaining in everyway.  A winning finish to the 2011 superhero movie season.

PS: MAKE SURE TO STAY FOR THE AFTER CREDITS, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. There will be a preview of The Avengers (which is coming out May 2012).
